Adanta is completing an Environmental Assessment, wetland delineation, and Hazardous Fuels Plan for BLM – Southern Nevada District Office to support the Spring Mountains Multi-Jurisdictional Fuels Reduction and Wildfire Prevention Strategy in continued effort to reduce wildfire risk and conserve and protect natural and cultural resources in the Spring Mountains and adjoining areas in southern Nevada. The Hazardous Fuels Plan evaluates cross-boundary wildfire risk and strategic hazardous fuel treatments to protect human communities and critical infrastructure on public managed lands within six Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) areas. The WUI areas span three BLM field offices (Las Vegas/Pahrump and Sloan Canyon and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Areas), each with their own resource specialists, ecosystem concerns, and stakeholders. Our team regularly coordinates with the ID Team to ensure that all stakeholder needs are met, their requirements are included in the EA, and concurrence is received from the required agencies.
